Trip to the other side of the world

Hello there... first time using e blog.. at first i thought it's kind of boring and tedious to record your every day life... but well I'm in New Zealand now, so there must be something to it.. Everything interesting must be recorded.

Today I went to church.. and the Pastor talked about revival from the book of Nehemiah, Ezra & Haggai. Nehemiah's vision was to build up a community who would follow Yahweh wholly, then Ezra visionized the rebuilding of spiritual lives and Haggai focused on rebuilding the temple of Yahweh which was in ruin. He mentioned something interesting... He said that one of the sins that the Israelites have committed is to intermarry with foreign wives. Then as they purposed to separate themselves unto Yahweh, they were to put away their wives and their children!! And as the Spirit of Yahweh moved among them, they obediently put away their beloved. So therefore, what I'm trying to explain is that if, you want to love Yahweh, you want to be a holy people unto Him, you HAVE got to SEPARATE yourself! even, even, from your dearest affections and desires. This takes a real leap in faith, keeping in mind always whom you serve.

Now it's raining with strong wind.. the rain droplets are peppling hard against the roof window.. lovely weather.. hope it would turn cold sooner.... it's Autumn now.. it's March... and the people are saying it's getting colder... Nice... =)

Yup just now 5.30pm went out for dinner at Mrs Rana's House.. our lecturer.. she's a great cook.. and I regretted not having appetite just now.. didnt eat much and now I'm hungry.. Guess what? this gathering was so cool.. out of expectation.. this gathering was a superdly incredible one I ever had. It's just too multiculteral and international.. We have people from Palestine with their adorable kids, a kiwi family with a not-so-friendly daughter and a canadian wife, a Sri Lanka man, a KOREAN FAMILY... wow... but didnt manage to talk to them.. the wife was really quiet.. with 2 sons.. a poland mother.. we talked alot.. man from Iran, woman from Indonesia with her son William(8 yrs old, in grade 4) and of coz from Africa, Gambia.. btw my lecturer is a Sri Lankan... cool.... yea.. most of them are here to study.. they study chicken behaviour.. lol... poultry.. and a chicken is e main subject..

This night was fascinating coz I went to talk with the african guy.. he really looked like a typical african that we see on national geographic, and he was wearing their traditional clothes.. you noe e long sleeve and yellow in colour.. so becoz i was so curious about wild animals snatching kids away and dragging them from the villages in africa, I asked him whether his village has the same occurance.. Gambia is safe and nice.. itz a tourist destination, with shopping centres and stuff... he said.. coz they are colonized by the British.. and I asked sth like "do u have a tribe?" and he said he belong to the chief tribe in his area.. there are 5 tribes mainly.. and altogether there's only 1.5 million ppl in Gambia (Weat Africa, Kenya is east africa).. and he said sth like they are giving equal rights to the girls to be educated as well as the boys, in fact even more, coz to make things feel fair.. then I asked wad religions are there and he said mostly Muslims and few Christians.. and the Muslims here don't really observe anything.. they eat pork.. they celebrate Easter and the Christians likewise will take part in their Muslim celebrations.. o well.. interesting to hear that.. haha.. anyway, he's going to stay here in NZ for 2 years.. he's under scholarship grant from the goverment to study overseas.. After everything... everyone going home.. He asked: So how will we met again? lol... He's goin to be at Massey also.. in the library from 10 to 12pm lol.. so yea... maybe I could spot him.. and so he gave me his email too... this is the first time I talked to a real African... lolol... amazing...

Haiya didnt manage to talk to the Middle East ppl..Palastine & e Iran... lol wandering what they will comment about Israel lol...

Yea so as we went back.. inside the car.. it was pouring outside.. then as it subsided.. i requested that e windows be opened.. and waaa.... beautiful wind and fresh mint air... coooolllll.... this is my first time seeing NZ rain in the night while outside... coz most of e time when it rained, we were locked up in our tiny little room with only 1 ROOF window.. we are like frogs in a well haha... can only see the sky and occasionally birds flying pass... there's nowhere we can look to the outside through that window..

ok alright for now... itz alot already...... Cya and nite nite...

NZ time: 1.25am (Monday lo)
It's still raining.. better slp now to experience the rain drops falling on my head.....
